Food in Gita

The 14 verse of Bhagavad Gita chapter 15 stresses on the four types of food that we consume-

Meaning- Abiding as the fire of life in the bodies of all beings and mingling with the upward and downward breathes, I (Lord Krishna) digest the four kinds of food.

-Vaisvanara is the gastric fire abiding in the stomach

- Food that is masticated, sucked, licked and swallowed is the fourfold food.
