Upanishads
Upanishads are said to be a part of Vedanta, that is at the end of the Vedas. The word 'Upanishads' has been derived from the sanskrit root उप्+नि+सद् which means to be seated near (literally means a disciple attaining knowledge, sitting near a guru).
The Upanishads reveal intricate philosophical knowledge in the form of dialogues between two people, for example- dialogues between Yajnvalkya and Maitreyi, Uddaalaka and Svetaketu.Upanishads are a part of Sanatana Dharma. The study of the Upanishads helps in knowing about the Brahman (Ultimate Supreme)
